The SONAbeam™ 155-S is optimized for high-availability links up to 4450 meters (2.8 miles) and supports most standard protocols including OC-3, STM-1, Fast Ethernet and FDDI.

Cost-effective and compact, the SONAbeam™ S Series not only provides an attractive solution for enterprise applications, its high-reliability and long-life engineering provide a true carrier-class solution able to withstand the rigors of any industrial installation. The SONAbeam™ S Series' 1550 nm operating wavelength and unique transceiver design allow the SONAbeam 155-S to provide up to 25 times the transmitter power level of competing products.

Higher power translates to greater link range or better weather availability. This results in up to 99.999% availability at practical link ranges in all weather conditions. The entire SONAbeam™ series includes an SNMP monitoring application that allows users to monitor important system information in real-time.
